With the Summer holidays fast approaching, finding activities to entertain, distract and keep your kids out of trouble for the full six weeks can be challenging. I *may* have a solution though to stop the bickering and boredom – well, at least for a day.
I’ve not only teamed up with cleaning product gurus Vileda to share information about their latest promotional campaign which can get free child entry to awesome family attractions, but I’m also running a giveaway where you can win a ticket to a SEA LIFE or Sanctuary attraction. Intrigued? Then read on.
Vileda Kids Go Free Campaign
Let’s start with the campaign. Vileda are doing their bit to help out families across the country with their Kids Go Free campaign. Not only are they continuing to create awesome products which help to make household chores easier, but now a selection of these products will be sold with a special promotion entitling free child entry with every paying adult at 18 nationwide Merlin attractions. This includes:
- SEA LIFE (Birmingham, Great Yarmouth, Loch Lomond, Blackpool, London, Brighton, Manchester, Weymouth and Bray, N.Ireland)
- The Sanctuaries (Oban Sanctuary, GWeek Sanctuary)
- The Dungeons (The Edinburgh Dungeon, The York Dungeon, The London Dungeon, Blackpool Tower Dungeon)
- LEGOLAND Discovery Centre (Manchester)
Whether it’s visiting the seal rescue centre in Cornwall, marvelling at over 2 million LEGO bricks in Manchester, having the <insert plenty of swear words> scared out of you in York or touching a starfish in Great Yarmouth, there’s bound to be something for every family. Taking advantage of this offer is simple. All you need to do is:
- Buy any of the Vileda products with the promotional leaflet (Vileda SuperMocio 3Action Mop, Vileda SuperMocio Micro & Cotton Mop, Vileda Magic Mop 3Action, Vileda Magic Mop Flat and Vileda SuperMocio Powerpress Bucket & Wringer)
- Cut out the voucher from the promotional leaflet
- Present the voucher and till receipt when you arrive at the participating attractions.
As long as you’re buying at least one full-price adult ticket, a child can join the fun completely free. Not only will you own a product that allows you to get stuff done around the house quicker, but you’ll then be able to spend that extra time with your family and save money on days out when doing so. Win, win win!
Vileda SuperMocio Mop And Bucket Review
We’ve recently been putting two of these products through their paces. We were sent the SuperMocio 3Action Mop and SuperMocio Powerpress Bucket & Wringer to see how they’d help with the household chores. We’re pretty good at hoovering regularly, but I can probably count on both hands the number of times we’ve actually cleaned our hard floors. I was therefore interested to see whether the SuperMocio would be the cure for our neglect.
The mop certainly sounds impressive, although a bit confusing! It has a 3D smart fibers zone which traps dirt particles, red spot erasers to remove tough dirt spots, a dark blue microfiber zone to remove greasy dirt and has super absorbent and resistant non woven inner strips. The bucket has been designed to improve the performance of the SuperMocio mops with its bionic technology principle, which ultimately means less effort when wringing the mop and quicker drying floors.
We’ve used the SuperMocio mop and bucket a number of times – kitchen, living room, entrance hall and bathroom – and I’ve been impressed with the job it does. We have a steam cleaner and carpet cleaner that both do hard floors, but it just feels like such a faff to get them out and set them up. I therefore found it really quick and simple to fill up a bucket with warm water, add some cleaning products then get cracking.
The mop is lightweight, easy to use and does a good job. As you’d expect, you use it just like a normal mop, but you can rotate it to use the red and blue bits on particularly stubborn stains – these are rougher to the feel. I also found that the blue strips do in fact trap things like dust and hair, however a quick hoover in advance is probably wise to avoid leaving bits on the floor – I did have to pick up a few bits off the bathroom floor after mopping in particularly dusty places like behind the bath.
You’d think that a bucket is a bucket – and I guess it is – but I really like the wringer part on the SuperMocio. I don’t have much to compare it to, but I was surprised at how much water the wringer extracted from the mop. It also didn’t take too much effort – you simply push the mop down into the wringer and it wraps around the mop to get rid of excess water. This means that the mop is damp, but not soaking, which results in quicker drying floors.
Another good feature is that the mop head is machine-washable – we’ve not tried washing it yet, but the idea of not using a dirty mop head over and over again is appealing. All-in-all, I’ve been surprised at how easy it is to use the Vileda SuperMocio and the dirty colour of the water afterwards proves that it does a good job at cleaning the floor. For someone who can’t be arsed to get out the steam cleaner to do the floor, this certainly gives us a quicker and simpler method to cleaning our neglected hard floors.
