How do you fancy winning an awesome wooden playhouse for your kids?
Not only would you win parent-of-the-year, but you’d also have the added bonus of being able to send your little one(s) somewhere when they’re getting a little too rowdy, annoying or argumentative. How’s that for a win win scenario!
Well, Waltons – who specialise in providing high quality and affordable garden sheds, sustainable log cabins and attractive outdoor furniture – are giving one lucky parent the chance to win one of their awesome Honeypot Snug Playhouses, worth £169.95. The quaint tongue and grooved timber playhouse features Georgian style windows and flower design on the door, which will make your child think they own their own little cottage.
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do get your child to draw their dream outdoor retreat and then upload their picture to Waltons’ social channels with the hashtag #waltonsdreamplayhouse. Not only is it simple to enter, but your kid can have plenty of fun coming up with what stuff they’d want in their perfect playhouse.
Baby L is unfortunately a bit too young to enter the competition which is a blow as I’d love to have my own, erm I mean her own, private hideaway in the garden. I considered drawing a picture on her behalf, but that wouldn’t give actual children entering much of a chance considering I got an ‘A’ at GCSE Art. Talk about taking candy from a baby!
I did have a quick think about what would be in Baby L’s dream playhouse though based on what she enjoys at the moment. She’s a big fan of opening cupboards, so there’d need to be plenty of doors for her to open and close repeatedly. Rather than toys, she’d probably be more than happy with a shed full of mobile phones, remote controls and stuff belonging to the dog as these seem to be her preference when it comes to things to steal.
The sprog enjoys water, so she’d probably have a paddling pool attached to the outside on one side of the playhouse, as well as a ball pool on the other side and a giant slide leading down from the door. Despite her diminutive frame, she loves to eat, so her dream playhouse would probably also come with its own Chef who is ready, willing and able to prepare anything she wants, when she wants!
How To Enter
Entry to the competition is pretty simple. All you need to do is have your child make their dream playhouse (draw, paint, collage etc), then upload a photo of their picture to any of Waltons’ social media channels, remembering to include the hashtag #waltonsdreamplayhouse. The winner will be chosen out of all entries received by 31st August 2015 by a team of judges from Walton.
